All self-employed persons must submit their tax return to HMRC by 31 January of the following year. Failure to submit these returns on time is subject to a fine. If you received a fine and do not know what to do, do not hesitate to call us and we will help you with the appeal so that the fine is reduced as soon as possible or cancelled altogether.
- If the tax return is not submitted on time (i.e. by October 31st - in paper version or before 31 January the online version), the fine is £ 100.
- An extra charge of £ 300 applies two months after the missed filing deadline.
- If you do not submit a tax return for more than six months, you will be charged an additional £10 for each delayed day.
Therefore, do not hesitate to contact us and we will arrange for your tax matters to be managed promptly and professionally.
